Who we are…

Cantoria do Amor is a musical duo based in Basel, formed by Daniel Messina and Daniel Somaroo. They met in 2016 at Jazzcampus Basel, where an immediate musical connection sparked a collaboration that continues to grow.

Their music moves within the world of Latin pop, rooted in Brazilian song traditions and samba, and enriched by Afro-Cuban elements and Venezuelan rhythms. Drawing from their different backgrounds, they blend these influences into songs that feel intimate, rhythmic, and alive — always guided by groove, melody, and storytelling.
